THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Grotto Restaurant Review:
Descend the steps to find a delightful hideaway with an even more secluded outdoor garden beyond. Virtually out of sight but for a red neon sign marking this osteria, Grotto aims to show its provincial elegance and rustic simplicity in cuisine and character. The Italian Mediterranean menu consists of antipasti, primi, secondi and pastas. Grilled octopus on a bed of mixed greens and cherry tomatoes tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette with a glass of Lacryma Christi Bianco is a fine precursor to the grilled filet of sole with lemon, sautéed potatoes and roasted vegetables. The light and delicate flavors of the sole with a touch of citrus are enhanced by a glass of prosecco, while the rich osso buco works well with a glass of Barbera d'Asti. For dessert, we suggest the passion fruit tart.
