THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Harbour Lights Restaurant Review:
As elegant a restaurant as you’re going to find in the South Street Seaport area, pricey Harbour Lights offers glorious views of the Brooklyn Bridge and a wide-ranging grab bag of a menu. Dishes span the globe. The best stuff, logically enough, comes from the sea. Share the Seafood Royale platter to start. It’s brimming with clams, oysters, shrimp, smoked salmon and tuna tartare. Mains are similarly hefty and hit similar notes. They include fish ‘n’ chips, cooked in amber ale batter; panko-crusted sole in brown butter with caper berry and steamed broccoli; and filet mignon and lobster tail in a red wine sauce. This enormous restaurant is open until 2 a.m., with a well-tended and attended bar and lounge.
