THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED HQ Restaurant Review:

This elegant but casual SoHo restaurant refers to itself as a “New York Bistro.” The French-doors-meets-pressed-tin-ceiling give chef-owner Terrance Cave (formerly of Blue Ribbon and Metrazur) a perfect venue for his American cuisine that’s laced with worldly flair. The pyramid of crispy calamari, sitting atop a large dollop of fresh guacamole, manages to be refreshingly grease-less. The Colorado rack of lamb is tasteful, assisted by a cast of marinated artichokes, horseradish scallop potatoes, and crunchy asparagus. The duck breast, sitting in a shallow pool of maple-flavored tomato sauce, is crispy on the outside and tender inside. Service is casual and friendly, but about as professional and knowledgeable as you’d find in the city’s best restaurants.
