THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Hundred Acres Restaurant Review

:
About the restaurant: Chef Ayesha Nurdjaja (Picholine, A Voce) has transformed beloved Hundred Acres from an American-focused bistro to an airy neighborhood restaurant with a Mediterranean menu. The space features a front room with tables opening onto the SoHo scene and a lively bar, manned by talented alchemists who regularly create whimsical cocktails like the El Matador, a Pedro Ximénez-based concoction with hints of nardini amaro, cappelletti, Americano rosso, bourbon and lemon. The Tunisian, Italian and Moroccan-based fare is served here as well as in the atrium room, an inviting area with spaciously arranged seating.

Food & Drinks: Popular selections include the charcuterie, cheese board and oysters, in addition to vegetarian starters like smashed beets mixed with labne, harissa, pistachio and dill; or roasted Brussels sprouts adorned with red onion, feta cheese, almonds, fig vinaigrette and sumac. Meat eaters will be happy as well with entrées like Moroccan harira, braised lamb shoulder with chickpeas, pumpkin, pomegranate, yogurt and cilantro. Seafood tagine is a Moroccan mix of seafood with preserved lemon and couscous, while the wild mushroom paella is a vegetarian take on the classic rice dish. Ingredients are sourced from local purveyors wherever possible. The wine list travels widely throughout Europe while adding in some U.S. vintages.
