THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Izakaya Ten Restaurant Review:
In Japan, an izakaya is a down-home tavern that serves comforting, hearty cuisine. Izakaya Ten, spruced up with dim table lights and intriguing artwork hanging from the ceiling, certainly captures the spirit---particularly on the menu. Notable sushi is available, but why stick to the familiar when the crispy deep-fried octopus balls with bonito are so addictive you’ll contemplate a second order? Then there’s the Kurobuta pork sausage with mustard, a tasty surprise. The teriyaki-flavored roast duck is thinly sliced and just as pleasing on the taste buds. Wash it all down with a flight of saké, of which dozens of varieties are available.
