THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Jeeb Restaurant Review

: With a half dozen or so tables crammed into this narrow, one-time jewelry shop, this Thai restaurant has quickly become gold to Lower East Side hipsters who crave a reasonably priced dinner in the midst of a pub crawl. Chef Linda Leelauva dishes up tastier-than-usual Thai classics like coconut curries and spicy seafood plates, as well as tapas dishes (thoughtfully presented spring rolls, dumplings, chive pancakes) all to the incongruous and amusing sounds of show tunes and bad pop music. The stir-fried seafood in a yellow curry sauce (shrimp, squid and scallops) is surprisingly sweet and memorable. Make sure you save room for dessert: the pumpkin custard is culinary bling bling.
