La Nueva Victoria Restaurant Review: Consistent, convenient, and good for eating in or a takeout meal, this Upper West Side Cuban-Chinese restaurant serves such multi-cultural mixes as chicharron de pollo, wonton soup and a plate of fried plantains. Light starters include the avocado or simple chicken salad. Filling staples are available as well of course: we recommend the sweet-and-sour pork or the beef with broccoli. Then again, with other menu items like black beans, saffron rice and boiled congee with shrimp or pork, it can be hard to decide. Whatever you choose, enjoy it with a Chinese beer and top it off with some silken flan for dessert. |
