La Panineria Restaurant Review

: This Greenwich Village sandwich shop packs a lot of Italian gusto between two slices of bread. Choose one of a dozen and a half (mostly) reasonably priced sandwiches, the majority of which are named after Italian cities. The sandwich maker, who hails from Naples, is trusty for recommendations in case you’re indecisive. The Portofino comes with cooked ham, arugula and fig jam, offering a bit of sweet to the savory. The Bologna, naturally, is loaded with mortadella. The Sicilia is crammed with mozzarella, organic tomatoes and artichoke hearts. Or you can up the ante with one of the specialty sandwiches, including the truffle-loaded prosciutto and Parmigiano sandwich. It will only set you back $30.
