Les 110 de Taillevent Restaurant Review

: Near the Champs-Élysées, this sleek brasserie comes with an original concept: a wine list that proposes no less than 110 glasses, among which is a selection of four for each plate. At the stoves, Emile Cotte reinterprets French favorites, with a skilled technique in the preparation of sauces and the seasoning of the dishes. Expect palatable fare such as crusted pâté; salad of chorizo and squid a la plancha with Espelette pepper; pan-seared veal T-bone with an addictive juice and a mushroom fricassée; and a chocolate sphere that disintegrates when drenched with hot chocolate to reveal pear slices. To go with the pâté and the veal, the sommelier served an intense Chinon L’Huisserie 2010 from the Domaine Philippe Alliet, and with the chocolate, a California Zinfandel Cycles Gladiator 2007 with hints of black cherry. In the comfortable setting, businessmen appreciate their meal, binging while talking money, banks and CAC 40.
