Despite the authentic-sounding name, this friendly SoHo spot isn't the oasis of Mexican cuisine that California transplants might look for in the Big Apple. But despite that, the Mexican staples like cheese and spinach enchiladas, chili verde burritos, and tacos de carnitas are decent, particularly after a few drinks (which is when the place seems to hit its acme in popularity).
