This East Village spot offers some of the best soul food this side of the Mason-Dixon line. Mama’s dishes up crispy fried chicken, baked salmon, and hearty bacon-wrapped meatloaf with a choice of traditional sides like mac ‘n’ cheese, molasses-glazed sweet potatoes, or roasted turnips. For dessert, there’s only one way to go---banana cream pie. Or was it the crisp apple cobbler? In a hurry? It’s all available to go.
