THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Marco Polo Cafe Restaurant Review:

Dumplings are culturally diverse, so why not unite the kreplach of the world? That’s the thinking behind Marco Polo Café. Just as the eponymous explorer was a link between Italy and China, so too does the menu at this restaurant connect those two lands. Exhibit A is the “dumplavoli plate,” which indeed pairs those two doughy delights in one combination plate with cheese and spinach on the ravioli side and mushroom or pork on the dumpling side. There are also more direct combinations, including the “Moo Goo Gai Panini,” which brings together caramelized onions and cheese in a pressed sandwich. It’s clever and a nice change of pace for the increasingly upscale Saint Marks---and, frankly, it’s a relief that there’s no frozen yogurt offered here.
