: After working at six restaurants in different parts of the world, hosting ten TV shows, appearing as a guest on many more TV and radio shows, and writing five cookbooks, it was about time that chef Curtis Stone open his own restaurant. Named after his grandmother, who he discovered cooking with at the tender age of four, the restaurant is small and seats only 25. Stone and his team want to take care of guests as they would at an intimate home affair --- quite appropriate for the Australian who is nicknamed after the TV show that made him famous in the U.S., “Take Home Chef.” Stone wants the experience to be unique, with an innovative chef’s table-style thirteen-course dégustation. He composes a monthly set menu inspired by seasonal ingredients, drawing as much from Southern California as possible. His idea is to use every edible morsel: flesh, skin, seed, stalk, leaf, flower and oil.
