Pala Restaurant Review:

Despite widespread belief, getting a good pizza in New York City isn't easy. But thanks to eateries like Palà, modeled after Roman by-the-slice-style pizza joints, the NYC pizza scene definitely has a crispy option. With the exception of take-away, pizza at this Lower East Side restaurant is only served in one-foot increments. This may seem like a lot of pie for one or two people, but once you bite into the crust and---at times---creative toppings, you may not want to stop. The sautéed pumpkin and pancetta works beautifully together. So does the pizza topped with walnut spread and Montasio cheese. For those not in the mood for pizza, Palà also offers plenty of fresh antipasti.
