THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Pardo's Restaurant Review:
This rotisserie chicken chain, founded in Peru in the late ’80s, has landed in New York’s West Village. The restaurant’s décor is smart and contemporary, inviting diners to stay a while. The food, however, has all the trappings of fast food. But that’s not a bad thing. Especially when the chicken is juicy and tender. The bird comes in two ways---the classic rotisserie (marinated for hours with 14 spices) and the bold-flavored grilled chicken. Both are worth the trip, but Pardo’s really clucks in its sides and starters. The cinnamon-tinged plantains, grease-less fried yucca, and the tacu tacu (finger-shaped rolls of rice and beans seasoned with garlic) would make a meal in and of themselves.
