Located on the second floor of a reclaimed factory space in Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood, this gastropub is---not surprisingly---heavy on the industrial décor. ReBar’s exposed brick walls and Art Deco lamps balance things out though. Likewise, the drink menu is loaded with Belgian brews---both by the bottle and on tap, many of which are Trappist---but has an equally good selection of German and American microbrews. The wine list, however, mostly sticks to Europe. Food falls into the hearty category with merguez sausages and chorizo. Mussels, nicely cooked, are given a touch of fruitiness by being steamed in cider. Cheese plates, cured meat selections, sandwiches and salads round out the menu.
