: Young people fill this airy dining room on the first floor of one of Brooklyn's most upscale hotels. Country-style French flair in dishes like radishes served simply with butter and a hearty French onion soup is predictable but all is done well. Squab with chestnuts is given a lift by buttery urchin, and duck confit has an Eastern edge with sauerkraut and pickled cranberries. The wine list is entirely French with enough mid-range bottles to satisfy the starving artists. At brunch, consider the savory croissant, and pastries in general are a highlight. Afterward, head to the rooftop bar for well-made cocktails and even better views.
