San Francisco Restaurant Review:

The décor has hardly changed since the 1947 opening of this Italian landmark where the cooking, inspired by chef Carlo Bianchi, has also remained the same for years now. Discover the cuisine of the chef's native Marches, a traditional, agricultural region of Italy that borders on the Adriatic Sea. He is also the author of Mamma Mia! (Mango, 2005), a useful account of the history, anecdotes and recipes of his ancestors. We recommend the vitello tonnato (thin slices of veal with a tuna and caper sauce) and an intensely flavored linguine and clam sauce. A vast menu also includes such Italian classics as risotto, meats and fish (excellent swordfish). Count on €50 à la carte.
