Chef Seki's eponymous restaurant on the Upper East Side offers sushi and sashimi as well as traditional Japanese dishes. Try the pan-fried gyoza; chicken yakitori; salad with snow pea; broiled black cod marinated in miso and yuzu; teriyaki steak; udon noodle soup with shrimp and vegetable tempura; or the omakase, which can be just sushi or sashimi or a combination of both. Seasonal products are utilized. This Sushi Seki, which debuted in 2002, is the first of three New York City outposts. It is open until 2:30 a.m. daily.
