Tom's Restaurant Restaurant Review: A neighborhood institution, this six-decades-old diner serves all-day breakfasts (and a few lunch items) to young and old, locals and a few tourists. Everyone basks in the friendly and festive atmosphere and fills up on all the usual breakfast favorites from bacon and eggs to golden challah french toast. And then there are the pancakes: pumpkin walnut, lemon ricotta, and the harvest pancake, which combines the flavors of corn and blueberries or cranberries, depending on the season. Favorites at lunchtime include the juicy brisket, the sliced steak, onions and peppers, and the classic meatloaf. |
