| Arguably one of the best Thai restaurants in the borough, Zabb Queens is a no-frills affair, but don’t let that scare you off, lest you’ll miss these delightfully done classic and adventurous dishes. The menu is divided into curries, rice dishes, noodle bowls and entrées. The tart-like curry puffs are underwhelming but the chicken liver shish kebabs are ultra-tender. Peanut curry is a savory curry-infused peanut sauce over slightly crispy tofu, and stir-fried pork with garlic sauce is emboldened with bits of basil. If you're in the mood for something lighter, the salads---including grilled shrimp mixed with onion, chili powder and lime juice; long beans mixed with dried shrimp, tomato, chili, garlic and lime; and the simple bamboo shoot with onion, chili and spicy herbs---are sure to please. The offerings are affordable, made even more so by the BYOB policy. |
