Join the world's greatest chefs and noted wine authorities for The Grand Wine & Food Affair in Houston, TX this April 18-22, 2012. Reserve wine tastings, cooking classes, vintner dinners and wine seminars will be showcased at this event. Currently, The Hilton Foundation will match dollar for dollar all proceeds applied to the endowed scholarship fund developed by The Grand Wine & Food Affair. April 28
Join Texans at the Texas Beer Fest 2012 from 1 p.m.-7 p.m. on April 28 to sample more than 17 local and international beers. This event will donate 25 per cent of the profits to the Houston Food Bank. The purchase of a ticket will give the ticket holder 12 coupons to be used at the event. The coupons can be used to purchase food or 2-ounce samples of beer. The festival will take place at Discovery Green, 15 McKinney St., Houston, TX 77010. Cova Hand-Selected Wines offers happy hours Monday-Friday, from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Happy hour prices are avalable at both the bar and restaurant and feature $5 wines by the glass and $7 tapas. Saturdays
The Tasting Room location on Uptown Park offers $6 wine tastings from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays. (Guests can get that money back with a retail purchase.) Meanwhile, the other Tasting Room location (2409 W.
