Houston Wine Tastings & Events
Houston's Wine & Food Week will celebrate "A New York State of Mind" at the 12th annual culinary and wine event featuring more than 500 wines, 75 restaurants, wine producers and culinary personalities. Education classes, chef demonstrations, cookbook author events and gourmet experiences round out the week. Wine & Food Week's signature Big events include Thursday, June 9's H-E-B Wine Walk @ Market Street, a taste and stroll experience in a European-style center featuring wine and light bites at more than 40 tasting stations; Sips, Suds & Tacos featuring live music, craft beers, value wines and a "Taco Takedown" competition on Friday, June 10; and Saturday, June 11's Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting & Chef Showcase. The Tasting Room location on Uptown Park offers tastings of seven wines for $20 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays. (Guests can get that money back with a retail purchase.) Meanwhile, the other Tasting Room location (2409 W.
