Top 10 Father's Day Wines 2010

Liberty School 2007 Cuvee, one of our Top 10 Father's Day Wines

Liberty School 2007 Cuvée
Paso Robles, California

This is the first red blend from Liberty School in Paso Robles. The 2007 Cuvée is a blend of Syrah, Petite Sirah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Viognier from California's Central Coast. On the nose, the wine displays bright red fruit notes. With accents of smoke and pepper, the fruit-forward blend shows fine grain tannins reminiscent of wines from the southern Rhone Valley. The predominant grape, Syrah, shows its jammy, strawberry and plum flavors while Petite Sirah adds deep ruby color and tannin structure. Smaller amounts of Grenache soften the wine and add balance. Full-bodied and well-balanced, this wine can be cellared for five to seven years.
