Quinta do Vesuvio began as one of the great estates of the Douro Superior region in Portugal under the management of Dona Ant�nia in the mid 1800s, and since 1989 has been under the control of the Symingtons wine family. The winery is one of the largest in the Douro region of Portugal, and one of the last places in the world where grapes are crushed by human feet. The Pombal do Vesuvio 2011 is a rich and silky red that has flavors of floral, plum and black cherry.
