![]() Cafe Centro Restaurant Review: This Americanized French brasserie in the MetLife Building gets high marks for looks---brass railings, Art Deco details---and solid marks for eats, too. There's a wood-burning rotisserie in the dining room and the stainless-steel kitchen is visible beyond a glass wall. While basically French, the fare also includes Moroccan highlights, starting with Moroccan lamb tagine. We also like the mussels Provençal, Maine lobster risotto with pumpkin and oven-roasted tomatoes, and the many choices from the raw bar. At lunch and during happy hour, the power-suit crowd jams the adjoining noisy Beer Bar, which has its own menu and extended hours. |
