THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Fresh Restaurant Review:

Set in an understated loft-like space in TriBeCa, Fresh does an admirable job of living up to its name. Serving primarily seafood, chef Michael Ferraro (late of the Mercer Kitchen and the Biltmore Room) serves up a globally inspired menu. The seared sea scallops topped with a melting torchon of foie gras (and accompanied by a vanilla poached peach) is a daring lesson in ingredients pairing. For something more straightforward, try the classic lobster roll, which is more affordable than some of its more famous brethren in the city, but won’t outshine them either. The crispy whole branzino may leave you hungry, so pair it up with a side of whipped potatoes laced with lobster or chili-marinated eggplant. The wine list, while studded with favorites from around the world, offers a much better selection by the bottle than by the glass.
