Diners feel like kings at this opulent antique-filled restaurant that oozes last-century French elegance. Décor aside, the rich and fancy food is enough to make one feel as if he is dining in a palace. Chef Raymond Saja follows the strong tradition of his seasoned French predecessors and adds his own enlightening preparations utilizing some Asian and other exotic touches. For dinner, start with sweetbreads and freshwater prawn in a curry caper vinaigrette. The poached arctic char in a beurre blanc with artichokes is a delicate preparation cooked just right. Desserts include a warm bittersweet chocolate tart or Tahitian vanilla bean panna cotta with saffron-infused winter fruits. Composed of seven courses, a tasting menu is offered. The extensive wine list does not neglect affordable wines.
