Sommelier Francine Diamond-Ferdinandi and chef Angelo Auriana welcome Cascina Val del Prete winery to Officine BRERA for a wine dinner exploring varietals from Piedmonte’s northeastern city, Roero. The four-course menu will feature dishes such as spit-roasted California leg of lamb with rosemary potatoes and peppers. DOMA will host a six-course dinner paired with Barolo and other Italian wines November 17
DOMA is beginning a series of wine dinners. The first event will be a six-course dinner paired with Barolo and other wines from the northern Italian region of Piedmont. Among the courses will be braised veal tortelloni with veal reduction; risotto with house-made sausage and oyster mushrooms; braised veal cheeks over Gorgonzola infused polenta; and chocolate panna cotta. Ongoing LA Wine Events

Silverlake Wine offers “Blue Monday” wine tastings to take the edge off the beginning of the week. Participants enjoy samples of three wines along with farmhouse cheeses, olives and Heirloom LA bread. Price is $15 per person. The tastings run from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. each Monday evening. Third Wednesdays
On the third week of every month from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., Eagle Rock Brewery presents a Women's Beer Forum. Pasadena’s Le Petit Vendôme wine store offers tastings every Thursday beginning at 5:30 p.m., every Friday beginning at 6 p.m. and every Saturday beginning at 3:30 p.m. Each tasting features 10-15 wines. Apart from Thursdays, when each pour is $1, the price of each tasting varies.
