Guests raise a glass at Vegan Oktoberfest in Los Angeles, CA October 3-4
Don your lederhosen and get ready to raise a cruelty-free glass at Vegan Oktoberfest, the world’s first event to combine an authentic Oktoberfest celebration with an all-vegan menu. Due to the huge turnout at last year’s sold-out event, Vegan Oktoberfest has expanded to two days (12pm-5pm) at the spacious LA Center Studios in Downtown Los Angeles. The event, which will accommodate 3,000 guests per day, will feature live Oompah bands, Bavarian maidens, and of course, vegan craft beer poured by dozens of breweries. There will be stein holding contests, chicken dancing contests and costume contests. General Admission or VIP tickets come with a complimentary 14-ounce beer stein and unlimited beer sampling. In addition, many food vendors are creating exclusive menu items that are only available at Vegan Oktoberfest. A portion of the proceeds benefit Expand Animal Rights Now, an organization dedicated to using the legal system to help animals. Los Angeles magazine's 10th annual culinary extravaganza, "The Food Event," will feature unlimited food and wine, plus panels and demonstrations with celebrity chefs.
