Petrossian Boutique & Restaurant presents a tequila tasting experience with 123 Organic Tequila. Executive chef Giselle Wellman will offer a five-course menu inspired by her Mexican roots, including dishes such as a jicama smoked trout taco, carnitas à la Bourguignon, and paleta d’ananas. The Beverly Hills Bar Association presents the 26th Annual Vintage Bouquet April 27
Presented by the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the 26th Annual Vintage Bouquet will take place from noon to 4 p.m. at the historic Greystone Mansion. Open to the public, the outdoor food and wine event with magnificent city views features unlimited tastings from wineries, beverage companies and restaurants, as well as special musical entertainment, and live and silent auctions. Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit the Beverly Hills Bar Foundation's pro bono legal services. The first annual Los Angeles Spirits Expo is coming to downtown Los Angeles May 9-10, 2014. The trade and consumer event will bring together craft spirit distillers, bartenders, bottlers, label makers, and the public for two days of seminars, tastings, and panel discussions at LA Center Studios. Exhibitors and attendees will have the opportunity to meet buyers, bloggers, bartenders, influencers, and writers who associate themselves with the craft spirit industry. The expo will host various exhibitors offering tastings of small batch distillers, as well as speakers who will provide new insight to the craft spirits industry and advice for breaking into the Los Angeles market. The first day of the event, Friday, May 9, 2014, will be open to trade exhibitors and industry attendees only. Held from noon to 5 p.mm., seminars include "Is the L.A. Market Right for Your Brand," "Choosing the Right Distributor," "How Craft Spirits/Micro Distillers are Making Their Mark in the L.A. Market," "Bottles and Labels," "Social Media and Your Brand," and "Alcohol Beverage Laws." The second day, Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 1 p.m. to p.m., is open to the public. Discussions include "’Bartender’” vs. ‘Mixologist’," "Women in Whiskey," "Tequila vs. Mezcal," and "Mixology: 101," led by Joel Black founder of Black Lab. The Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce is launching the first-annual Bite at the Beach food and beer pairing event, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the MBS Media Campus in Manhattan Beach. Signature bites from restaurants throughout the South Bay, including M.B. Post, Fishing With Dynamite, Darren’s Restaurant and Paul Martin’s American Bistro, will be paired with craft beer. Thirsty Angelenos will have plenty to choose from at the 9th Annual LAWineFest, happening May 31 and June 1 at Hollywood’s Raleigh Studios. With hundreds of wines, craft brews and spirits on offer, the weekend-long festival is a relaxed, welcoming setting for people to explore the world of wine and more, alongside cool L.A. food trucks, live bands and handcrafted goods. California wines regions from Napa Valley to Temecula will be out in full force, as well as representatives from around the world. From major labels such as Cupcake Vineyards to emerging gems like Jada Vineyard & Winery, the event will showcase an eclectic variety of vino. In addition to wine, a beer garden and exotic spirits offer attendees a diverse selection. The main stage will host short, fun talks on wine-related topics and cooking demonstrations by local celebrity chefs. Additional seminars on a variety of topics will be offered for a nominal fee.
