California Wine Month takes place in September and features tastings, festivals and more Through September

The Los Angeles Times' THE TASTE annual food and wine festival takes place over Labor Day weekend at Paramount Pictures Studios. The festivities include Field to Fork, a celebration of local ingredients and seasonal dishes. Other events include an opening night party, Saturday's Dinner with a Twist, Sunday's Flavors of L.A. featuring global cuisine, and a Sunday Brunch event. Volvo presents the 6th annual Sunset SAVOR the Central Coast at the historic Santa Margarita Ranch. With a getaway package, guests have access to adventure tours, special events and dinners, and the weekend's main event of culinary adventures and fun. The tours go behind the scenes to explore wineries such as Halter Ranch Vineyards, sustainable farms and the gardens of Paso Robles Inn. On Saturday and Sunday guests can really get their fill of fine wine and epicurean delights. The Marketplace showcases more than 100 wineries, restaurants and food purveyors, and promises unlimited samples of gourmet treats and drinks. Guests will also find cooking demonstrations by celebrity and master chefs, vino tastings and seminars, as well as beer gardens, music entertainment and other special activities. Los Angeles magazine's 10th annual culinary extravaganza, "The Food Event," will feature unlimited food and wine, plus panels and demonstrations with celebrity chefs. Participants will include Bestia, Faith & Flower and more. The event will take place from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. at the Saddlerock Ranch in the Malibu Hills, home to Semler and Saddlerock wines. Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica will be hosting the Signature Chefs Auction featuring L.A. restaurant chefs, wineries and spirits purveyors. There will also be live and silent auctions. Proceeds benefit the March of Dimes.
