The sixth-annual An Evening on the Beach at the Jonathan Beach Club Santa Monica will be held in support of St. Vincent Meals on Wheels of Los Angeles. The event will feature top L.A. chefs, vintner tastings and specialty cocktails. This year’s chef line-up includes Alex Ageneau of aestus, Genevieve Gergis of Bestia, Alec Lestr of Patina, Chris Phelps and Zak Walters of Salt’s Cure, and more. Cheese stations will be presented by Laura Chenel’s Chèvre and Marin French Cheese, with a special mozzarella bar by Mimmo Bruno of Di Stefano Cheese. Specialty cocktails will be mixed by Marcos Tello; in addition, expect a Chopin Vodka martini bar, complete with Petrossian caviar-stuffed olives, a Selvarey Rum bar and a coffee bar by Vittoria Coffee. Specialty wines will be presented by a group of guest vintners including Ascension Cellars, Bonny Doon Vineyard and Alta Colina Wines. The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum will host LA Weekly’s first-ever Burgers and Beer extravaganza, featuring all-you-can-eat samples of more than 35 of L.A.'s favorite burgers, along with tastings from 30 of the region's breweries. The curated line-up will include dishes from Belcampo, Cassell’s, Bouchon, The Independence, Barrel & Ashes and Salt’s Cure. Craft beer will come from Alosta, Drake's, Bottle Logic, MacLeod Ale Brewing, Strand Brewing, I&I Brewing, Ninkasi and many more. Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival celebrates its fifth year! This four-day event showcases the finest eats and drinks in a city-wide epicurean extravaganza set in downtown Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Times' THE TASTE annual food and wine festival takes place over Labor Day weekend at Paramount Pictures Studios. The festivities include Field to Fork, a celebration of local ingredients and seasonal dishes. Other events include an opening night party, Saturday's Dinner with a Twist, Sunday's Flavors of L.A. featuring global cuisine, and a Sunday Brunch event. Volvo presents the 6th annual Sunset SAVOR the Central Coast at the historic Santa Margarita Ranch. With a getaway package, guests have access to adventure tours, special events and dinners, and the weekend's main event of culinary adventures and fun. The tours go behind the scenes to explore wineries such as Halter Ranch Vineyards, sustainable farms and the gardens of Paso Robles Inn. On Saturday and Sunday guests can really get their fill of fine wine and epicurean delights. Silverlake Wine offers “Blue Monday” wine tastings to take the edge off the beginning of the week. At Suzanne Goin's Tavern in Brentwood, a wine and cheese tasting is held every first and third Monday of the month. The events, which takes place at the restaurant's casual Larder, run from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. and explore wine regions from around the world. The cost is $29 per person. West L.A.’s Il Moro continues its wine tastings, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring a selection of wines, accompanied by a generous offering of Italian finger foods. Price is $15 per person. Pasadena’s Le Petit Vendôme wine store offers tastings every Thursday beginning at 5:30 p.m., every Friday beginning at 6 p.m. and every Saturday beginning at 3:30 p.m. Each tasting features 10-15 wines.
