Astrolabe 2012 Province Pinot Gris
Marlborough, New Zealand

Named for the navigational instrument and the ship French explorer Dumont d'Urville sailed along the Marlborough coast in 1827, Astrolabe focuses on white varietals, such as Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Pinot Gris. Composed of 96 percent Pinot Gris and 4 percent Gewürztraminer, the 2012 Province Pinot Gris displays fragrant aromas and flavors of pear and stone fruit. In the mouth, it reveals a lively acidity with a touch of sweetness that would pair well with paella, jambalaya or shrimp pad thai.
