Schramsberg might not be a household name, but it ought to be. The winery has been around for more than 150 years and its wines have been used for diplomacy, for example, during President Nixon's historic visit to China in 1972. Made primarily from Chardonnay grown in Napa and Sonoma, the 2010 Blanc de Blancs is a classic and classy offering. Its fine bubbles, fresh apple aromas, lemon and grapefruit flavors and crisp acidity make it an excellent pairing for oysters, crab cakes and grilled sea bass.
