Chef Tomohiro Naito is behind Tomo Japanese Restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton Residences in Buckhead. Naito's sushi selections are ably presented and pristine. Dishes might also include two pieces of slow-cooked pork belly in a thick dashi gravy or lamb chops as either an appetizer or main dish, served medium and dusted with "sanshow" powder. Changing every week, the inventive creations he crafts with fresh frankfurters and sides put a singular stamp on the hot dog offerings. Pastry chef Chrysta Poulus has joined the Woodfire Grill team A graduate of The Art Institute of Atlanta, pastry chef Chrysta Poulus has joined the Woodfire Grill team, which is headed by Bravo's "Top Chef" finalist Kevin Gillespie. Poulus oversees the breads and desserts on both the à la carte and chef's tasting menus. Among the changes she has made is the introduction of whole-wheat bread and milk rolls to the menu. All-new desserts include her signature sticky toffee pudding. Poulus has also done pastry chef duties at 4th & Swift, Restaurant Eugene and Holeman & Finch Public House. Originating on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, Johnny Rockets grew into a multi-unit chain. The first Atlanta location, on W. Paces Ferry Rd. in the heart of Buckhead, drew crowds from its inception 20 years ago. Now losing its lease, this unit closed November 26, although other locations remain in the city.
