The team behind C&S Seafood & Oyster Bar in Vinings, Rich Clark and chef Jon Schwenk, have brought Hugo's Oyster Bar to Roswell, a seafood operation with a decisive Southern dimension. Besides the raw bar, there are classic Southern oyster dishes, from Rockefeller to fried to chargrilled; a pair of gumbos; shrimp rémoulade; crawfish in various preparations; and an oyster loaf, so we no longer have to drive to the Big Easy for that singular specialty. Chef Shuffle

The Mill Kitchen & Bar's original executive chef, Marc Taft of Chicken and the Egg in West Marietta, has packed his toque to focus on his original restaurant. Replacing him is chef Benjamin Castro, who has worked in a number of Atlanta kitchens for more than 15 years. Scott and Randy McCray opened The Mill Kitchen & Bar, which the team describes as serving "modernized" Southern comfort food, meaning interpretations of such standards as pimento cheese, shrimp and grits, and occasional game dishes. Locally sourced ingredients are a focus. A raft of fine bourbons, craft brews and handcrafted cocktails supplement the wine list. Lunch Mon.-Sat., Dinner nightly.
