Sonoma County used to play second fiddle to neighboring Napa when it came to fine dining, but no more, as Douglas Keane's Asian-French eatery has helped tip the balance of power. This has been a particularly fulfilling year for Keane and partner-maître d' Nick Peyton. The restaurant broke ground on its own bakeshop, and the team (literally) rolled out a hand-crafted mignardise cart brimming with seductive sweets that Peyton tauntingly wheels through the dining room. Every last detail is just as handily finessed, making Cyrus simply thrilling dining.
