Top 10 Summer Wines 2010

Cinzano Sparkling Asti, one of our Top 10 Summer Wines

SPARKLING

Cinzano
Sparkling Asti

The Cinzano range of Italian sparkling wines includes both sweet and dry versions, each with their own unique characteristics. From the Piedmont region of northern Italy, this sweet Asti D.O.C.G. ("denominazione di origine controllata," an Italian quality assurance label for wine and food) sparkler is golden yellow in color, with aromas of delicate honey and ripe peach notes. On the palate, sweet flavors of peach and melon fill the mouth. Fresh and fruit-filled, this wine (to be served well-chilled) is delicious as an aperitif or paired with desserts.

Rating: 12/20
