On June 8, the James Beard Foundation announced the winners and special honorees for the 2008 James Beard Foundation Awards, the nation's top honors for culinary professionals. Celebrity chef Bobby Flay (whose restaurants include Mesa Grill and Bar Americain) joined "Sex and the City" actress Kim Cattrall to host the event.
