Downtown Crossing restaurant MKT and adjacent lounge Central 37, which opened mere months ago as two distinct venues with a single kitchen, have united under the new name Market. Chef Rene Michelena is offering a new summer menu for lunch and dinner, featuring such dishes as lobster rangoon with passion fruit dipping sauce, roasted corned swordfish, and chicken stuffed with pea stems. The venue features the Financial District's only roof deck, and creative cocktails like the Guava Margarita. Market, 21 Broad St., Boston, MA 02110, 617-263-0037.

For Lobster Lovers
Back Bay New American restaurant Excelsior features a different pound-and-quarter lobster entrée for $30 every week this summer. Planned editions of the famed New England crustacean include Maine lobster paella Valencia with clams, mussels, chorizo and fire roasted peppers; wood-oven roasted Maine lobster tail, lobster succotash, and warm Maine potato salad with boar bacon; and a Maine lobster clambake with mussels, clams, chorizo, bliss potatoes, and "liquid corn on the cob." Sage Summer Series
Fans of South End creative Italian restaurant Sage Restaurant now have a week's worth of reasons to drop by. Chef/owner Anthony Susi's new Sage Summer Series presents a different nightly attraction, starting with Domenico Classico, a three-course Sunday-night family style menu at $28/person. Monday is movie night, with classics of Italian cinema like "La Dolce Vita" screened on the bar's big plasma TV.  A complimentary Antipasto Bar is on offer from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while Gelato Night features imported Neapolitan gelati for $8 after 9 p.m. Martini Fridays showcase creative martini cocktails for $5 a pop. Barbecue in the 'Burbs
They like their barbecue in the suburbs, or so believes Chestnut Hill's swank steakhouse The Metropolitan Club, which offers a fancy BBQ menu every Sunday night from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. throughout the summer. The prix-fixe dinner costs $30 per person, $20 for kids under 12, and features classics like brisket, ribs, burnt ends, and hushpuppies. Lunch Special at 606 Congress
In a bid to draw first-timers to its Seaport location, newcomer 606 Congress in the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel is running a $15 summer lunch special called the "Sip & Slide" menu. Diners can enjoy three sliders from chef Toby T. Hill's slider selection that includes the 606 burger, shrimp salad, and spicy crabcake BLTs, plus a creative cocktail, for $15. Summer Steals
Summer Restaurant Week 2008 is returning to bring relief to the palates and wallets of discriminating Boston diners this summer. From August 10th to August 15th, and again from August 17th to August 22nd, diners may enjoy a three-course lunch for $20.08 or a three-course dinner for $33.08 at more than 200 participating restaurants in and around Boston. Presented by the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau and American Express, Restaurant Week offers diners the chance to sample new restaurants and revisit old favorites without breaking the bank.
