Executive chef Matthew Barros, formerly of Market at the W Boston hotel, will take over the kitchen when Forum opens later this summer. While the restaurant is being renovated, chef Barros is hosting test dinners where menu items will be introduced to guests in the former Noche space as part of a weekly ticketed event called “FORUM FOR ONE.” All proceeds will benefit Boston’s ONE FUND. Brick-oven exotic mushroom pizzas, roast leg of lamb paninis and handmade ziti, ravioli and tagliatelle pastas are the name of the game at Quattro's recently opened location in the North End's former Il Panino Express location. The brainchild of Frank DePasquale allows you to sample a taste of his other restaurants at Quattro --- beef from Umbria Prime, pasta made DePasquale's Homemade Pasta Shoppe, seafood from Mare and bread from Bricco. Boston Restaurant Weeks Return
There is no easier (or cheaper) way to experience some of Boston's best restaurants than through Restaurant Week. Diners all over town can choose from a two-course lunch for $15.13, a three-course lunch for $20.13 or a three-course dinner for $38.13 from participating restaurants August 18-23 & 25-30, 2013. Life's Two Best Flavors Together at the Bacon and Beer Festival on May 4
Get your beer and bacon on at the fourth annual Boston Bacon and Beer Festival at The House of Blues. Held on Saturday, May 4 from 2:30-5 p.m., the fundraiser will benefit local food organizations Lovin' Spoonfuls and Community Servings. Participating restaurants include Gaslight, JM Curley, 51 Lincoln, Tavolo, West Bridge and many others. As for beer, Sam Adams, Dogfish Head, Harpoon, Brooklyn and Blue Hills Breweries, will share the stage. Tickets are $43 per person. Tarot, Tea and L'Espalier
L'Espalier is holding a Tarot Tea on Sunday, May 5 at 2 p.m. For $50 a session, tea sommelier Cynthia Gold will discuss five tea selections as you snack on tea sandwiches, pastries and petit fours. Martini Shake-Off Competition
On Wednesday, May 15, Joe's American Bar & Grill is hosting a benefit to raise money for Life is Good's nonprofit. Watch Joe's bartenders show off their best martini-making skills at the event. Don Julio Tequila Dinner at Grafton Street
Who says Cinco de Mayo has to end on May 5? Keep the celebration going until May 7, when Grafton Street will host a four-course Don Julio Tequila dinner complete with duck confit tacos and lambchetta with chimichurri paired with tequila-based craft cocktails. Chef Shuffle

Daniel Harrison Dumont has become the executive chef at the Taj Boston. The New Hampshire native has worked throughout New England at The Balsams in New Hampshire, The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common and Chatham Bars Inn and most recently operated the food and beverage management company, Harrison Hospitality Group.
