Brendan Sodikoff's Bavette's Bar & Boeuf has quietly opened, ushering in a European addition to Chicago's meat-centric restaurant scene. On offer: short rib stroganoff and rib-eye, finished with bone marrow. Bavetteā€™s Bar & Boeuf, 218 W. Kinzie St., Chicago, IL 60654, 312-624-8154.
 
Bill Kim's BellyQ is nearing the finish line, with an ETA of late August. Jeff Schwepp (of José Garces's Chifa and Amada) will be in the kitchen of the former One sixtyblue space. Grant Achatz and his crew from Alinea will set up shop in Eleven Madison Park for five nights A Collaboration Between Alinea & NYC's Eleven Madison Park
Two of the country's most acclaimed restaurants will soon be trading places: Eleven Madison Park's Daniel Humm and crew will be heading to Chicago to cook at Alinea, and Grant Achatz and his crew from Alinea will be heading east to set up shop in Eleven Madison Park in New York for five nights starting on September 26. LM Making a Move
Lincoln Square's LM has teamed with Luke Johnson (Elate) to relocate LM to the Elate space, where Bradford Phillips will oversee the kitchen. LM, Hotel Felix, 111 W. Huron St., Chicago, IL 60654, 312-202-9900.
 
Next Project for "Top Chef" Alum
In late August, "Top Chef"-testant Beverly Kim will take over Bonsoiree with chef-husband Johnny Clarke, replacing Shin Thompson. The restaurant will feature a set-price menu, and it will no longer be BYO. Meanwhile, Thompson plans to open a restaurant on Lake Street with Ryan O'Donnell, who clocked time at Rustic House and Gemini Bistro. Bonsoiree, 2728 W. Chef Shuffle
