Wolfgang Puck's landmark restaurant Spago, which opened in 1982 on Sunset Boulevard, helped to position Los Angeles as a fine dining destination. America's most luminous star chef has gone on to create a culinary empire, but his Beverly Hills flagship continues to rule the roost, despite a lengthy 2012 closure for renovations. Hollywood's power elite flock to Puck's famous patio to make deals and see and be seen. California's other high-profile Austria native may have taken a fall, but Puck continues to cast his magic spell at this perhaps most iconic of all LA hot-spots.
