The Fort Worth Cultural District adds another feather to its culinary cap with the opening of Blue Sushi Sake Grill. Catch All the Fried Food Action at the Texas State Fair
The State Fair of Texas started Sept. 24 and continues through Oct. 17, offering up its typical bounty of corn dogs, funnel cakes, and turkey legs. But the big draw at the Texas State Fair is always the exotic fried specialties ranging from fried candy bars to fried Coke. Last year, even Oprah got in on the fried butter action, and this year promises to be another heart-stopping extravaganza of deadly food sins, including fried ice cream, pralines, banana split, and (hold onto your ten-gallon hat) chicken-fried bacon. You can find the Big Tex 2010 Choice Awards on the state fair website, as well as a special link to help you locate all your fatty favorites. Visit www.bigtex.com for all the greasy details, including fair ticket prices and hours of operation.
