RESTAURANT NEWS

Openings

La Zaranda has opened in North Dallas, specializing in seafood and Mexican cuisine. The menu includes dishes such as lobster tacos and blue crab enchiladas. La Zaranda, 5000 W Belt Line Rd. Ste. 850, Addison, TX 75254, 972-866-8900.

Restaurants-America is getting into Dallas in a big way. The Chicago-based company owns a half-dozen chains, two of which it's launched in Dallas. Primebar, a well-dressed sports bar, opened in September on Cedar Springs in the space that was once Arcodoro-Pomodoro. Now comes its corporate sibling, Townhouse Kitchen + Bar, a mainstream spot reminiscent of Houston's, though with a more casual atmosphere and more TVs. Lobster roll sliders are the signature dish, along with lemon-rosemary chicken, pork loin and Cajun-rubbed New York strip steak. Townhouse will take over the highly visible space once occupied by the dearly departed Sushi Samba. Townhouse Kitchen + Bar, Galleria Dallas, 13350 Dallas Pkwy., Dallas, TX 75240, no phone.
