A branch of the chain Torchy's Tacos has opened in Fort Worth. The menu offers fajitas, tacos and dishes like the "Dirty Sanchez," made with scrambled eggs with fried poblano chile, guacamole, carrots and shredded cheese, served with poblano sauce on a flour tortilla. Mockingbird Taproom has made its debut in Mockingbird Station. The restaurant and bar features a menu of creative pub grub like salads, burgers and Tex-Mex tacos, as well as more than 40 beers on tap. Other notable items include "Suicide Fries" topped with queso, giardiniera, chopped brisket, green onions and a fried egg; wings with sauce options like blueberry buffalo; and the "Piggy Back Mac" made with pulled pork, bacon, jalapeño and pork rind topping. Valentine's Day at Fearing's
Fearing's in Dallas will offer its special Valentine's Day menu for four nights (February 14-17), in addition to the a la carte menu. Highlights from the four-course menu include Georges Bank lemon sole; Yoakum, Texas Wagyu strip loin with frites and truffled red wine sauce; and a dessert duo of a chocolate cherry ice cream "heart" sandwich and a vanilla custard shooter with passion fruit orange sauce and heart-shaped sugar cookies. Savor Dallas Returns
