Homemade Delectables at the Savory Pantry
One of Encinitas’ favorite chefs, Pascal Vignau of Savory, has created the Savory Pantry, offering homemade soups, entrees, fresh fruit jams, homemade condiments and decadent desserts. Located inside the restaurant's lounge area, the pantry is stocked with delectable comfort foods to heat and eat. Think eggplant and fire-roasted tomato soup, beef bourguignon, spinach-and-pear quiche, thyme-roasted beets, and apple tarts. Grab a bottle of wine and baguette as well, and you're good to go. Addison Headwaiter Attains Advanced Sommelier Status
Will Costello, the headwaiter at Addison, one of San Diego’s finest dining rooms, has successfully reached the level of advanced sommelier, awarded by the American Chapter of the Court of Master Sommeliers. Costello, one of a select few to reach this coveted status in San Diego, will now set his sights on the court’s highest level---the Master Sommelier Diploma, along with Addison’s savvy wine director Jesse Rodriquez. Only 171 people in the country have reached this level. The Grand Del Mar takes its wine very seriously, with over 35,000 bottles and 13 proprietary labels residing on property to accompany chef William Bradley’s outstanding Mediterranean cuisine. Addison, The Grand Del Mar, 5200 Grand Del Mar Way, San Diego, CA 92130, 858-314-1900.
