New Happy Hour at Jsix
Jsix has a new $6 happy hour featuring chef Christian Grave's exquisite cuisine in tapas portions, along with six wines for $6 and various handcrafted cocktails also for a mere six bucks. New seasonal menu items include Dungeness crab gratin (crab with potatoes, sunchokes and Meyer lemon); salmon with brussel sprouts, cauliflower, potato hash and brown butter hollandaise; and a tantalizing dessert --- the nutty pear --- hazelnut butter cake, vanilla poached pears and vanilla ice cream. Valentine's Day Weekend at Red Marlin
With sweeping harbor and bay views, Red Marlin is offering a special four-course dinner February 11-14. Think seafood crepes with lobster and shrimp in lime butter; roasted apple and parsnip soup with citrus crème fraiche; or baby spinach salad served with sautéed oyster mushrooms, and Redwood Hill goat cheese drizzled with a warm house bacon dressing. A “perfect pair” entree means dry-rubbed New York steak with Béarnaise and pan-seared scallops served with grilled asparagus and fennel and blood orange slaw. Red velvet cake topped with cream cheese, candied pistachios and ganache truffle lollipops comes with a champagne toast at the end. The cost is $45 per person. New Brunch at JRDN
Now you can enjoy an ocean view and sun-filled patio while experiencing a wonderfully eclectic brunch at JRDN Restaurant. For a decadent and delicious bite, try Mama’s Baked French Toast served with caramel apples, vanilla gelato, and cracked hazelnuts. Innovation and tasty bites appear as fried calamari with pickled jalapenos, zucchini and tomato sauce, a Lobster BLT on artisanal brioche; or with their Tower23 burger with ground Meyer and Kobe chuck, white cheddar, and aioli. Vegetarians will love the grilled vegetable wrap with feta cheese, eggplant, zucchini, mushrooms, peppers in a lemon vinaigrette. Additionally, bubbly drink specials such as build-your-own mimosas make for a fun meal. Choose your mix of orange, blood orange or pomegranate with Segura Viudas Cava or Lamberti Prosecco and let the afternoon sparkle. They even have tasty cocktails by the carafe. Pacifica Del Mar has welcomed a new executive chef, Evan Cruz, from Roy’s. Some highlights form his new menu include roasted heirloom beets with burrata mozzarella and olive pesto duck two ways (confit and grilled cheese and foie gras), and cast iron barramundi with shrimp andouille and grits.
