The proprietors of Ojai Beverage Company have opened a gastropub in Ventura called Barrelhouse 101. Located in the space formerly occupied by Restaurant Brooks, the new establishment offers 101 beers on tap, a full bar and surprisingly good food, considering the focus is clearly on drinks. Korean barbecue is finally returning to Santa Barbara. And it won't be served out of a truck. iGrill Korean BBQ has taken over the former home of Jade on a quiet block of Upper State Street. The owners of Brophy Bros. restaurant, an icon in Santa Barbara Harbor, have opened a simpler offshoot nearby called On the Alley. The eatery offers straightforward American fare and simple seafood including fish and chips, fried calamari and a clam roll with Tabasco mayo. Dining room of Miro Bacara Does Brunch
Miró restaurant, the fine dining crown of Bacara Resort & Spa, has introduced Sunday brunch. With a heavy focus on all things local, the culinary extravaganza showcases Santa Barbara County wines and brews, masterful seafood displays and garden-fresh vegetables from Bacara's nearby ranch. Chef Shuffle

Rhumb Line restaurant has filled the picturesque space in Ventura Harbor left vacant in 2010 when Scotch & Sirloin was shuttered. Chef Chad Mandel, formerly of Gordon Ramsay at The London West Hollywood and, more recently, TOI Tapas Bar & Lounge in Thousand Oaks, focuses on steaks and seafood.
