A new southern Mediterranean restaurant called Cadiz has opened at 509 State Street. Chef John Pettitt, who has been at the helm of several of Santa Barbara's finest restaurants---Wine Cask, The Hungry Cat and Seagrass Restaurant---focuses primarily on Spanish and Moroccan fare prepared with farm fresh ingredients. Chamomile Café has moved from Carpinteria to downtown Santa Barbara. The vegan restaurant serves breakfast and lunch, and is located at 426 Chapala St., the former site of Sevilla restaurant, and also features a small bakery and juice bar. The Four Seasons Resort, The Biltmore Santa Barbara British Biltmore Celebration Throughout April
In honor of the royal wedding, the Four Seasons Resort, The Biltmore Santa Barbara is featuring a British Biltmore Celebration (BBC) throughout April. Events include Royal Afternoon Tea on Fridays and Saturdays as well as traditional British dishes like fish and chips and shepherd's pie served at Bella Vista, "British Invasion" music nights on Thursdays and specialty cocktails like the "Middletini" at Ty Lounge, The Royal Treatment spa package, and British sports on the Monte Vista Lawn on Sundays (with the exception of Easter). Coast Gets Creative
Chef Brian Parks of Coast Restaurant & Bar has been keeping busy in and out of the kitchen. His "Ready, Set, Cook!" cooking classes feature local, seasonal seafood and produce, while his Creole-inspired brunch brings the flavors of the south to Santa Barbara. During "Off the Hook" Fridays, patrons can enjoy a three-course meal built around the catch of the day from local fishing boats. Coast Restaurant & Bar, Canary Hotel, 31 W. A Chef's Counter
Wine Cask now offers an interactive evening with chef Brandon Hughes. The personalized taste of the restaurant includes seats at the oversize bar in the main dining room, from which guests can interact with chef Hughes throughout dinner: a three-course farmers market meal with local wine pairings to accompany the ingredient-driven menu. Chef Shuffle

Chef Brandon Hughes has taken the helm at Wine Cask, Santa Barbara County's wine and dine hub. No stranger to the restaurant's American Riviera culinary style, Hughes was previously sous chef and chef at bouchon, another of Wine Cask co-owner Mitchell Sjerven's local eateries. After 19 years, Café Buenos Aires has served its final parrillada. The Argentinian restaurant known for its expansive courtyard and prime location---opposite Santa Barbara's historic Arlington Theatre on State Street---will soon become Petros, a branch of the Greek restaurant with locations in Los Olivos and Manhattan Beach.
