Artisan Bistro has opened in the The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common's Artisan Bistro (in the space formerly occupied by Jer-Ne) has a modern interior with sumptuous white booths and dark wood walls. Comfort food with an upscale twist is the name of the game. Daily specials range from whole grilled branzini, braised beef short rib and pork Milanese to duck confit pappardelle. Dorchester-Milton Restaurant Week January 15-30
The second annual Dorchester-Milton Restaurant Week is back this year from January 15 to 30 where diners can sample three-course dinners for $30.12 at nine restaurants, each located within a few blocks of each other. Participating restaurants include 224 Boston Street, 88 Wharf, Abby Park, Ashmont Grill, Blarney Stone, dbar, Ledge Kitchen & Drinks, Savin Bar & Kitchen and Tavolo. Chef Shuffle

The popular Guest Chef Mondays is now back at Stella for the third year in a row. The program runs through March 26. Chef Evan Deluty has invited some of the city's top chefs to cook at his restaurant and feature a special appetizer, entrée and dessert for $40 per person. Chefs this year include Michael Schlow, Dante de Magistris, Anthony Caturano, Marc Orfaly, Kevin Long and Jamie Bissonnette, among others. To mark Clio's 15th anniversary, before it temporarily closes its doors for renovations in mid-January, Ken Oringer is serving a nine-course retrospective menu available from January 9-14. The menu, which highlights some of his best dishes, will include a tomato water martini, cassolette of sea urchin and lobster, and venison cooked in espresso oil.
