Carson Kitchen is known for its creative comfort food using seasonal ingredients, and with summer upon us, chef and owner Cory Harwell has developed new menu items for the season. The new menu items include hot dog burnt ends with barbecue glaze and High Brow Ranch ($14), crawfish tacos with tasso ham slaw ($14), salmon served with a mango-lime salsa ($25), watermelon & feta with cucumber and white balsamic vinaigrette ($14), cold carbonara with pancetta and pecorino cheese ($16), BLT flatbread with teriyaki bacon and wasabi aioli ($16) and berry posset with moscato blueberries ($11). In addition, each of Carson Kitchen’s team members created and submitted original cocktail recipes, which were collectively narrowed down to the top five to join the program of libations, including What Is That, Velvet? made with gin, velvet falernum, fresh lime, almond, allspice, and pineapple; and Shandy Cheeks featuring peach vodka, lemon, strawberry and lager beer. Caviar Bar at Resorts World Las Vegas has debuted Sunday brunch service, served on Sundays from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. The menu featuring restaurateur Shaun Hergatt’s new American cuisine includes chicken schnitzel withparmesan and citrus rosemary sauce, Nordic Benedict with smoked salmon and Hollandaise sauce, Australian wagyu steak frites with peppercorn sauce, smoked salmon tartare, eggs Florentine and salmon burger. Also offered are bottomless mimosas with Martini & Rossi champagne and cocktails like the Strip View made with Probitus Rum, sorrel syrup, lime and egg white; and Raspberry Beret with Absolut Vanilla, Godiva White Chocolate and raspberries.
Al Solito Posto in Tivoli Village has launched a new late night pasta promotion. Dubbed ‘Pastaholics’ and available at bar top seating nightly from 9 p.m. until close, all handmade pasta selections on the dinner menu are half off with the purchase of any beer, wine, cocktail or spirit-free cocktail. The current selection of handmade pastas include radiatori with English peas, speck ham and black truffle butter; rigatoni alla vodka with Calabrian chili & basil; cacio e pepe with pecorino & toasted black pepper; lobster ravioli with melted tomatoes and truffle butter; pappardelle Bolognese with parmesan and beef & pork ragu; corn agnolotti with brown butter and parmesan; and fresh spaghetti with aglio e olio or marinara. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is launching its Earth, Wine & Fire three-course wine dinner experience, offered nightly from June 29 through September 1. Guests can choose between two 3-course menus—the plant-forward Earth Menu and a signature steak Fire Menu, with each menu paired with three wines from the Wagner Family Portfolio featuring Caymus Vineyards. Courses are Earth: smoked chili artichoke salad and Fire: smoked chili shrimp salad paired with Mer Soleil Reserve Chardonnay, Santa Lucia Highlands; Earth: roasted vegetable Wellington and Fire: hand-cut Cabernet filet matched with Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley; and both menus finish with brown butter peach olive oil cake paired with Emmolo Sparkling No. 5, California. The Earth menu is priced at $80 and the Fire is $105 per person and are available at the two Las Vegas Fleming’s locations: in Town Square and Summerlin. CraftHaus Brewery has launched an expanded food menu at its location in the Henderson Booze District to pair with the beers brewed onsite pouring from its 24 taps. The menu includes spent grain pretzel rolls served with beer cheese and whole grain mustard ($6.50); charcuterie plate with salami, prosciutto, pepperoni, marinated artichokes and olives and pretzel ($13); cheese plate with honey drizzled goat, smoked gouda and Manchego cheeses and nuts and crackers ($13); and six sausage sandwiches: beer brat, Polish sausage, spicy chicken and mango, vegan beyond brat, the works sausage and the beast brat with wild boar, elk and wagyu ($8-12). As part of the Silverton Casino’s 25th anniversary celebration, Twin Creeks Steakhouse is offering a chance to win discounts and free menu items. Called “Stakes are High,” upon ordering the restaurant’s signature Creekstone Farms tomahawk, diners will roll three dice to determine their prize. Rolling any die with a five earns a free dessert; three ones 10% off, three twos 20% off, three threes 30% off and three fours 40% off the tomahawk entrée; three fives 50% off and a free dessert; and three sixes wins the tomahawk meal for free. The tomahawk meal is a 40-ounce steak for two with included sides of lobster mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, black-truffle butter and two scratch-made sauces. Through the month of June, The Underground speakeasy and distillery at the Mob Museum is offering a tasting flight of four Ardbeg Scotch Whiskeys, for $55. The Ardbeg distillery is known for its whiskeys with smoky, peaty complexity. The tasting flight is available Monday through Wednesday from noon to 10 p.m. and Thursday through Sunday from noon to midnight. Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews, which began as a group of friends in Fargo, ND that would meet up to work on their motorcycles and cars and would soon play hooky by calling in “sick” to hang out all day in the garage eventually leading to some awesome cookouts, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. All eight Sickies locations, including the Las Vegas outpost at Town Square, will present a limited-time throwback menu from June 1-July 31. The special menu items include tater tot hot dish burger with pepper Jack and American cheese, chili cheese fries burger topped with sour cream, fried potato salad with spicy ranch dipping sauce, chili cheese fries smothered in nacho cheese and Sickies’ chili and fried Buffalo chicken cheese balls with shredded Buffalo chicken and cheddar cheese.
