Long Providential Vietnamese Restaurant, from the same folks at the widly popular International District’s Tamarind Tree, recently opened in Belltown. Specializing in provincial Vietnamese cuisine, the new uptown restaurant serves  an impressive menu, including many Tamarind Tree favorites. Located in the former site of Qube at Second at Steward, Long Provincial offers the full menu of Tamarind Tree favorites along with new dishes. Lunch & Dinner dailly. bin vivant Gets a New Name and Location
bin vivant, now in Kirkland’s posh Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club & Spa, will move a few steps closer to Lake Washington when it moves into the space at Carillon Point recently vacated by Yarrow Grill. bin vivant is also changing its name to bin on lake (keeping its lower case spelling) to reflect its prime waterfront location. The restaurant will continue serving large and small plates of seasonal American fare, as well as offer an extensive wine list, and pour 80 wines by the glass. Rover's Now Serving Sunday Brunch and Dinner
Rover's, considered one of Seattle's finest French restaurants, is now serving Sunday brunch and dinner. Brunch offers a more affordable way to experience Rover's impeccable cuisine and lovely setting. Enjoy elegant crepes, fluffy omelets and orange brioche French toast. Rover's, 2808 E. Major Changes Announced at Juno
Juno, the much anticipated restaurant in the Arctic Hotel, did not have a stellar beginning. Not only has Hilton Hotels taken over management of the Arctic Hotel, but executive chef Thomas Kollach, who devoted an enormous amount of time developing Juno, and his culinary team are no longer there. Chef Shuffle

Dawn Smith, former sommelier at Canlis and most recently at bin vivant in Kirkland, and Mike Davis, the founding chef and owner of the highly acclaimed 26brix in Walla, Walla, have joined the Heavy Restaurant Group. Smith was tapped to serve as wine manager and Davis will head the kitchen at three restaurants set to open later this year in Bellevue Towers: Purple Café & Wine Bar, Barrio and Bliss.

The economy blows away another Seattle restaurant. Typhoon!, the excellent, upscale Thai restaurant in downtown Seattle, unexpectely closed last month due to a downturn in business. A second Typhoon! in Redmond Town Square, however, remains open as does the original branch of Typhoon! in Portland, Oregon.
