Whitlow's On Wilson has an exciting new craft beer program with 12 new bottled microbrews, including local favorites Flying Dog Ale and Ale Werks. To kick off Whitlow's new program, the bar and grill will celebrate the launch with its 12-year-long tradition of Mug Night on Thursday, July 15, and will hand out free take-home beer mugs from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Mugs receive $1.50 refills from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. every Thursday during Whitlow's weekly Mug Night promotion. New DC restaurant Agora features a number of artisanal cocktails, an international wine list of over 250 varietals, plus an extensive beer menu with selections from the Mediterranean regions of Turkey and Greece. There's also a selection of ouzo, an anise-flavored spirit widely consumed in Greece, as well as a variety of Turkish liqueurs. Overseeing the wine, spirits and cocktail programs is Malia Milstead, general manager and wine director for the restaurant. During the month of July, Potenza is featuring a Pizza & Peroni menu exclusively at the 40-seat bar. Guests can select from any of Potenza's five house-made pizzas, fired in the pizza oven, and receive a pint of Peroni for $10.
